While most of the talk about Adele recently has been her record-breaking album sales, some recent chatter has also been the fact that she looks much smaller than ever. While we love Adele regardless, many are curious about her dramatic weight loss which she discusses in the March 2016 issue of VOGUE which she covers for the second time.
In this new interview with VOGUE, one of the things Adele talks about is her dramatic weight loss which is mainly due to her making healthier choices. She did quit smoking before the surgery she underwent to fix her vocal codes in 2011. She actually started making changes in 2011 that helped her shed pounds.
As for her weight loss, Adele began shedding pounds in 2011 when she and Simon shifted to a vegetarian diet, according to Hollywood Take.
Adele also started jogging with her dog at that time, boosting her slim-down success. In addition to that plant-based diet, the singer reduced her sugar intake and headed to the gym.
In this VOGUE interview, Adele talks more about the motivation to get healthier which not only impacted her health in a positive way but also led to even more weight loss.
In truth, however, Adele is healthier than she has ever been. As well as the litany of foods and drink she has to avoid to protect her throat, she has given up the Marlboro Lights that she used to more or less chain-smoke, and has almost given up alcohol—this is the woman who admits that she could once put away a bottle of wine a day. “I was trying to get some stamina for my tour,” she says, “so I lost a bit of weight. Now I fit into normal, off-the-shelf clothes—which is a really big problem for me!” she adds, laughing as she describes a newfound shopping habit.
So if Adele can do it, you certainly can find the motivation to lose weight and get healthier whether this means eating better while eliminating bad habits such as those that Adele eliminated, getting more active, etc.
